THC Academy course

Outdoor, Protected Cultivation & Post-Harvest

Connect establishment, weather, protected-environment risk, lighting, drying, water activity, and microbial quality into one applied systems course.

Course outcomes

What you should be able to do

  • Evaluate outdoor sites by sun, drainage, wind, water, microclimate, biology, and seasonal risk.
  • Explain how protected structures change heat, humidity, condensation, ventilation, pest entry, and light management.
  • Treat drying as controlled moisture transfer with spatially variable temperature, RH, airflow, and load density.
  • Separate water activity from moisture content and preserve lot identity through storage.
