Use this card when symptoms look nutritional but the real issue may be pH range, EC buildup, feed strength, runoff trend, water quality, or uptake conditions.

Field checklist

  • Record input water pH and EC before nutrients.
  • Record feed pH and EC after mixing.
  • Compare runoff or slurry trend only when the method is consistent.
  • Check whether symptoms start on old growth, new growth, or the whole plant.
  • Pair readings with moisture, oxygen, media type, and recent changes.
Rule: pH and EC readings are context clues, not standalone diagnoses.
