Run the method in order

Record air temperature, RH, time, and sensor location; record leaf temperature and leaf location when available.

Document whether the value is air VPD or a leaf-to-air formulation and which temperature is used for saturation vapor pressure.

Calculate

Calculate VPD using the documented inputs and method.

Step 4

Interpret in context

Compare values through time together with plant water status, light, airflow, and irrigation observations rather than treating VPD as a stand-alone diagnosis.
