Record the environment where the affected tissue actually exists, not only a room average.

Evidence boundary

Record facts separately from interpretations.

A record improves diagnosis only when observations are separated from interpretations. Preserve units, sample location, time, plant stage, recent changes and uncertainty. A completed worksheet does not by itself confirm a pest, pathogen, nutrient deficiency or environmental disorder.
