Curing as Moisture Equilibration & Storage Transition
After initial drying, moisture can redistribute within flowers and between flowers and package headspace. Curing should be treated as a controlled transition into stable storage, not as a fixed folklore schedule.

- Recheck after equilibration
- Inspect for condensation, abnormal odor, soft tissue, or visible mold
Common mistakes
- Using a fixed number of cure days for every cultivar and flower size
- Packaging material that is still unevenly wet
- Treating container RH as automatically equivalent to a validated water-activity measurement
- Opening containers on a ritual schedule without using evidence
